We came. We saw. We raved from the grave.
On Saturday 31 October, the Kaffekos garden stopped being a cafe and became a haunted rave. Cobwebs across the path, blood-red ribbons in every tree, pumpkin lanterns glowing through the dark, and our glass house lit up hot pink. Spooky? Yes. Aesthetic? Also yes.
By the time the beat dropped, the garden was packed. Pirates, ghosts, Ghostface and a few costumes we are still trying to identify took over the dance floor, phones up, lights flashing, nobody in a hurry to go home. The dress-up level was unreal. You all understood the assignment.
The vibe check
- The set: cobwebs, ribbons, jack-o'-lanterns and way too many ghosts. 10/10, would be haunted again.
- The fits: pirates, Ghostface, full horror looks and a very convincing amount of fake blood.
- The energy: loud, glowing and unreasonably happy.
Thank you, you beautiful ghouls
Thank you to Amor DJ for the soundtrack, and to everyone who showed up, dressed up and danced like the night had no end. You are the reason we do this.
